why bitterbatterbutter?

Soon after moving to seattle’s bitter lake neighborhood, self-proclaimed food enthusiasts Amy and Jamie recognized a lack of neighborhood restaurants within walking distance.  They joked about one day opening a neighborhood joint on the shores of bitter lake and aptly calling it bitterbatterbutter.  While owning a restaurant may not be in their future, Amy and Jamie still love to cook and share ideas and recipes among family and friends – and that is what neighborhood joints are all about.

This site will be a place for our family to share the recipes they love to cook and enjoy together around the family table.

Welcome to bitterbatterbutter!
